Canberra Adventure - Wollongong Family Photographer

In the April school holidays, we decided to go on an adventure to Canberra to celebrate a successful 1st term of kindergarten and have some quality family time.

We booked our hotel, jumped in the car and started our adventure. We arrived at the hotel and order pizza in for dinner, chilled on the bed and watched movies. The following morning the girls woke excited to go on an adventure and explore. We headed to Manuka Village and found Urban Panty where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast.

We then headed to Questacon, as you can see the girls were pretty excited. This was our first visit to Questacon, we had become members at Wollongong Science Centre and Planetarium which gave us entry into Questacon (and also something to do in the next school holidays). We thought we would be here a couple of hours, well, weren't we wrong. We ended up staying most of the day. It is so interactive for all ages and the girls really loved exploring the different exhibits.

After Questacon, we went for a drive and explored the areas around the lake (the girls slept the whole time). We ended up driving to the National Arboretum, Canberra where we were told about an awesome park, and yep! it's awesome. The Pod park is like nothing I have seen before, the girls ran off without hesitation to go and explore. This park is a MUST if you are ever in Canberra.

Day 3 was all about finding cool parks to play at. We headed over to Boundless Playground, we had a scooter ride along the lake and over to National Carillon where we listened to the beautiful chimes. We explored the parklands and playground but the girls just kept asking for one thing, "Can we go back to the Acorn park (Pod Park)?" How could we say no. So off we went before we headed home. This little getaway was just what the family needed, some time together, just chilling and exploring, refreshing ourselves and creating awesome memories. For those heading to Canberra anytime soon. I highly recommend Questacon and The Pod Park.
